Air Shaft (Air Mandrel)

🚀Product Description

Niika air shaft (air mandrel, airshaft, expanding shaft) is an industrial device that uses compressed air to inflate an internal bladder, pushing lugs, leaves, or bladders on the shaft body to firmly grip the core for winding and unwinding materials. It is a critical component in roll-to-roll processes and can be used with tension controllers, brakes (air brakes), clutches, and edge position controllers. Niika air shafts are made of steel or aluminum, with internal bladders made of high-wear rubber. Through precise manufacturing and strict quality control standards, Niika air shafts provide long-term stable operation in industrial applications, reducing equipment maintenance costs and improving production efficiency. Niika air shafts come with a one-year quality guarantee, providing the highest quality assurance for your industrial production.

📌NIIKA Air Shafts (Air Mandrels) are available in three main types:

Lug Type

- Also known as lug type (tile type), commonly made of steel and aluminum.
- Prevents core damage, effectively avoids material slippage, and reduces vibration issues at high speeds.

Leaf Type

- Suitable for thin or easily damaged core materials.
- Features a full-length leaf design to protect delicate materials from pressure deformation.
- This type of shaft is not recommended for use as a differential shaft on slitting machines.

Multi Bladder Type

- Lightweight design, easy to operate and replace bladders, convenient and quick maintenance.
- Standard hard rubber material, aluminum bladders are also available for different needs, suitable for various industrial applications.
