DBR Fan Cooled Brake (Multi-Point Disc Brake)

  • Available in basic type, covered type, and single disc brake unit (DBR 1P)
  • Compatible with brake pad model LDR

Product Description

  • The primary function of the DBR industrial pneumatic brake (air brake) is to convert the kinetic energy generated during the operation of mechanical equipment into thermal energy and effectively dissipate this heat into the surrounding environment. Efficient heat dissipation is crucial for ensuring that the pneumatic disc brake (air disc brake) system maintains optimal performance and a long service life, especially in high-intensity, high-frequency industrial applications.
  • The heat dissipation capacity of a fan-cooled disc brake (fan cooled brake) depends on the rotational speed, disc diameter, and radiant surface area. By installing an electric fan in the center of the brake, the heat dissipation capacity can be effectively improved, maintaining optimal heat dissipation performance even at low speeds and avoiding the need to increase the disc diameter in continuous slipping applications.
  • DBR is applicable to slitting machines, coating machines, corrugated board making machines, conveyor belts, levelers, and more.
  • A single small disc brake (1P) can be activated with only 0.2 bar of air pressure.

DBR Performance Curve - Thermal Capacity (Power) vs. Effective Cooling Speed (Working Intensity)

  • The rated torque value of the disc brake (disc brake, disc brake) may vary depending on operating temperature and rotational speed conditions.
  • If the disc brake is used for extended periods under conditions close to its thermal capacity limit, it may lead to accelerated wear of the brake pads (brake linings, friction pads, brake blocks), please carefully evaluate the working conditions.
  • When operating without a fan for heat dissipation, the thermal capacity of the disc brake will depend on the effective cooling speed (nQ). For accurate evaluation of thermal capacity and model selection, please consult our professional technical team.
